The Bahrain Technology Companies Society (BTECH) was founded to unite ICT companies and engage with the government on ICT policy.
BTECH was formally established as a non-profit society, launching initiatives to promote ICT’s role in the national economy, strengthening ties with local universities and training institutions, and hosting its first BITEX and MEET ICT events.
BTECH developed Bahrain’s first ICT Industry Roadmap, expanded BITEX and MEET ICT into national events, participated in regional and global forums like GITEX Dubai, launched programs to bridge ICT talent gaps and encourage youth, and built strategic partnerships with GCC and international ICT organizations.
BTECH developed the Bahrain International ICT Model (BIIT), strengthened regional ICT marketing, continued participating in MEET ICT, BITEX, GITEX, and LEAP, expanded GCC partnerships, and implemented the Readiness Plan for BIIT adoption.
BTECH integrated the BIIT model, positioned Bahrain as a regional ICT hub, established MEET ICT and BITEX as global-standard events, showcased ICT innovations, and expanded talent development initiatives.
